Gewurztraminer Icewine - 2016Regular price $39.95
In Niagara, it’s best to stay inside between December and January—unless you’re harvesting icewine. This time of year is precisely when you’ll find us in the fields, grumbling and mumbling in the bitter cold, gathering Gewurztraminer grapes. At temperatures like that, it’s hard to remember that James Bond once drank himself an icewine martini. But hey: we all have to make sacrifices.
HOW TO ENJOY THIS WINE
Aromas of grapefruit, apricot, and honey. A little spicy, actually, such as you might find with your favorite apple pie. In fact, we like to drizzle this Gewurztraminer Icewine directly onto apple pie and ice cream (because we’re cool like that). But this variety happens to do really well on its own (served chilled), or as a subtle addition to your favorite cocktail recipe.
