This Pinot Gris is soft with a crisp finish
This is Palatine Hills first harvest of Pinot Gris grapes from our 4 year old vines. Despite being young, the grapes were very well developed and flavourful. 15% of the Pinot Gris juice was fermented in neutral French Oak barrels, the rest done in Stainless Steel Tanks.
The resulting wine is complex, and bright with a mellow finish. 18 hours of skin contact allowed to wine to develop a pale rose colour and also contributed to additional complexities in the wine.
The finished wines, both barrel fermented and stainless were then blended together to created the final product with flavours of Apple, Pear, Melon and Orange Zest with a hint of Vanilla.

Enjoy this wine on it's own or paired with Smoked Salmon, Salads, or White meats including Chicken and Turkey. Cured/spiced meats made from pork and duck also pair beautifully as well as Fish including Tilapia, Scallops, Sea Bass, Perch, Sole, Haddock, Trout, Cod, Redfish, Halibut, Snapper, Mussels, Clams, and Oysters.
