In a bold move to help bring Ontario wine consumers to VQA wines, Palatine has now introduced two new magnum (1.5 Litre) formats of 2008 unoaked Chardonnay ($17.75) and 2007 Cab/Merlot ($19.75) through the LCBO's Go To Market program.

This initiative is intended to help consumers get the great taste of VQA wines at the same price as "Cellared in Canada" wines, which, as you probably know, contain 70% of more imported bulk wine from foreign countries.

In addition, Palatine Hills 2008 Lakeshore Red (750 ml, $9.75 plus BD) is now in the LCBO's Craft program - over 66 stores in Ontario.

 John and Zoltan Szabo have both enjoyed and approved the products, and in fact, the Chardonnay and Lakeshore Red are now 'house' brands in some very desirable locations, including the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.

When you buy and enjoy Ontario wine - wine that is proven to be world class - you support the grape farming industry in Ontario, the winemaking industry, your friends and neighbours, and, you make not just an economic statement, you also make an ecology statement.
