Palatine Hills Estate Winery grows vines on 187 acres in superb growing conditions...so good we have our own subappellation: Niagara Lakeshore.    Grapes have been grown on Palatine Hills Estate for over three decades, on 187 acres of perfect soil on Lakeshore Road, very near Niagara-on-the-Lake. The winery itself was established near the beginning of the new century. Owners John and Barbara Neufeld know a lot about grapes. Their desire to run a winery on their property led to the formation of an unparalleled team when they hired veteran winemaker, David Hojnoski.  The move paid off very quickly: the first Ice Wine for Palatine Hills earned a gold medal at the 2003 Ontario Wine Awards. The wine was also named Ontario Wine of the Year. Since its inception, Palatine Hills Estate Winery has been making affordable, high quality wines of distinction – reds, whites, rosés and ice wines – and winning awards. Come and taste for yourself. The LCBO currently carries four of our wines: Gewurztraminer, Riesling Traminer, Cabernet Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, and we have added three new wines to the LCBO programs. Now, you can buy magnum 1.5 litre bottles of 2007 Cab/Merlot, 2008 unoaked Chardonnay and 750 ml 2008 Lakeshore Red!  Check which LCBO stores carry our wines.
