Yes Palatine Hills is one of the seven hills of Rome, but no this winery is not named after that hill, specifically. Palatine Hills is a name brought to historic Niagara-on-the-Lake by Empire Loyalists in the 1780's. Ask for more information about this name when you visit the winery.

Palatine Hills Estate Winery is pleased to announce that four of our VQA wines won Bronze at the Toronto Wine and Cheese Competition.
Come and try the winners: Fume Blanc 2006, Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot 2004, Rose 2004, and our newest, Juliette Sparkling "Blanc de Blancs" 2004.

WINE CLUB - Up and Running
Members of our newly established Wine Club have already started receiving their two bottles of VQA Palatine Hills Estate Wine each month.
In June, members received a bottle of Fume Blanc 06 (now sold out), and a Cabernet Sauvignon/ Merlot 04. The July shipment included a Gewurztraminer 06, and a Merlot 04.

A WORD OR TWO ABOUT US
Located in the historic Niagara-on-the-Lake district, Palatine Hills is an award-winning winery offering freshly harvested juices (ideal for the home-brew enthusiast) and wines that will satisify even the most discerning of palates.
Having successfully sold their grapes to other wineries for more than 30 years, owners John and Barbara Neufeld found themselves with a surplus in 1998, and decided to collaborate with winemaker David Hojnoski to produce a small batch of icewine.
By 2001, they were making table wines and juices for export to New York and Pennsylvania. And in 2003, their 1998 Vidal Icewine went on to win Ontario Wine of the Year.
The overwhelming public reaction first prompted the Neufelds to open a small retail store, right here at the vineyard (pictured left). Its continuing success has lead to an expansion of our facilities on site, and to Palatine Hills taking the next logical step: developing a solid reputation of online sales throughout North America.
